Week 11 - Presentation/Graphics
Good afternon! this is my devlog for week 11.
Unfortunately there isn't much going into this devlog, the main updates to the graphics/presentation being 2. The first is the updated drink sprites. Developed by my good friend Ed, there are now 3 types of drinks, being glasses of beers, goblets of wine, and small bottles of spirits! Each different type of drink will restore a different amount of health, with beer restoring 1, wine 5 and spirits 10, so look out for each next time you're running mad through the tavern floors.
The second update to graphics is some of the animation sprites for the character. As stated in previous devlogs I converted the character from simple 2 directional movement sprites to 8 directional movement, to match the degree of movement found in the game, as pointed out in the discord by Chloe, some of my sprites had animations that moved all around when doing actions like punching and kicking, and as such I've reconfigured the sprite frames in the sprite editor, to give them a consolidated stance, reducing some of the jank for the game.
Outside of these 2 updates there have been several UI changes im continuing to work on, which I will talk about in next weeks devlog! so until then, cheers :)))))
